At the end of 2019, the epidemic officially landed. A few months later, Zhang Yongzhen's team at Fudan University first studied and announced the virus gene series. Since then, the controversy over the source of the virus, the route of infection, and the various hosts has reached a climax.
Regarding the duration of the epidemic, at first people looked at the infectious disease that broke out almost every spring before, thinking that this fear would completely dissipate when summer arrived, and people would still wear medical masks until summer really arrived. , Even with sweating, against the blazing sun.
Doing a good job of disinfection protection and reducing human-to-human contact are the most effective countermeasures currently known. In order to effectively respond to the new crown pneumonia epidemic, all parts of the country have to implement high-intensity disinfection of public facilities and public environments such as buses, subways, streets and sewage every day.
For example, the security inspection equipment of the Beijing subway must be disinfected every 1 hour; the train returning to the subway must be disinfected 5 times before it can continue to run on the next shift; and the Beijing buses need to be disinfected twice a day.
During the epidemic, the disinfection work was intensive and the task was heavy, and the staff was seriously insufficient; after the epidemic was stabilized, the disinfection task became normal, and the staff used the method of signing and punching to leave the disinfection record, and the authenticity of the disinfection effect and frequency was difficult to guarantee, and Daily disinfection work requires staff to be placed in a high-concentration disinfectant environment, and long-term high-concentration disinfectant environment will also affect human health.
Based on this, many companies are targeting the field of disinfection robots, hoping to use disinfection robots to supplement the disinfection work. Performing daily disinfection tasks with disinfection robots can not only use data to leave accurate disinfection records, but also liberate staff from heavy and repetitive disinfection tasks.
Founded in 2014, BooCax Robotics is a high-tech enterprise with intelligent mobile robots as its core business. It has more than 50 core technology patents, and R&D personnel account for more than 50% of the total. The core team comes from the Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and has more than ten years of experience in the core algorithms of artificial intelligence robots, especially in the field of multi-sensor fusion SLAM algorithms such as lidar, depth vision, and UWB.
With the arrival of the epidemic, the BooCax team began to seriously think about the future of the air environment field. After investigation, BooCax believes that the field of air disinfection is not a short-term opportunity that only appeared because of the epidemic, but a kind of normalization in the future, which should be taken seriously. And BooCax believes that the disinfection robot and its existing robot products have certain similarities in the underlying technology.
Before deploying disinfection robots, BooCax had been focusing on research and development in the upstream of the robot market. It was the first company in China to integrate UWB and lidar navigation technology. At that time, its main business was to provide positioning and navigation system solutions for other robot manufacturers.
Among them, as early as 2018, BooCax combined positioning and navigation SLAM with UWB, lidar, depth vision and control host to create the robot core solution product "Navi++", and then launched the "Navi++Pro" positioning and navigation system , Can integrate reflector positioning and natural structure positioning technology to achieve high-precision navigation, which can meet the needs of scenes such as factory AGVs.
Therefore, BooCax has already possessed technologies such as positioning and movement of robots, sensors, and automatic charging. Moreover, the robots and disinfection robots made by BooCax before are essentially the same set of algorithm theory systems, but for different subdivision scenarios, different optimizations and iterations of their work logic are made.
Surely, BooCax completed the research and development of the disinfection robot and put it into the market in more than a month based on the original fixed chassis robot Turtle, combined with the actual needs of the disinfection scene.
At present, the BooCax disinfection robot has functions such as setting path function points, automatic detection of obstacles, and disinfection log tracking. Through the rapid atomization of disinfectant, the covid-19 and a variety of common epidemic bacteria can be accurately disinfected, with a sterilization rate of 99.9%, and the battery life can reach 4-5 hours on the hardware configuration.
Currently, there are four main types of disinfection environments. The first type is areas where medical disinfection is just needed, such as hospitals; the second type is large transportation areas such as customs and airports; the third type is commercial spaces such as shopping malls, hotels, and business halls; The fourth category is nursing homes, kindergartens, office buildings and other areas of well-being.
BooCax has developed different robots for these four different types of disinfection scenarios, including the atomization disinfection robot 180C, the terminal disinfection robot Max, and the ultraviolet disinfection robot UV1500. The products that have passed the disinfection record include 220A and bubble fish.
The atomization disinfection robot BKS-ST-180C is mainly used in transportation hubs, hotels, offices and other scenes. The industrial-grade ultrasonic atomization head, the atomization volume is 2600ml/h, spraying large spaces is more efficient, and the 16L super-capacity water tank can be used in airports, high-speed railway stations, etc. For scene use, it can cover an area above 1000-㎡ without dead ends, and the work efficiency is equivalent to 2-3 skilled disinfection workers.
The terminal disinfection robot Max is specially designed for scenes that require the use of hydrogen peroxide and similar disinfectants for indoor terminal disinfection, such as food factories, pharmaceutical factories, laboratories, etc., with an average atomized particle size of 4.54 microns.
The irradiation angle of the ultraviolet disinfection robot BKS-UV200 is 270°, the disinfection method is UVC band, the ultraviolet light intensity is 1500μW/c㎡, the total light power is 410W, and the ultraviolet power is 160W. It is mainly suitable for hospital operating rooms, disease control biochemical laboratories, and airtight Space etc.
BooCax recently launched a Pratt & Whitney disinfection robot-Bubble Fish, which is characterized by small size but still online functions. Compared with the previous products, the price is more favorable and the customer positioning is accurate. It is mainly used in shelters. Hospitals, subway cars, kindergartens and other spaces.
According to BooCax CEO Xie Chuanquan, the field of air environment is very large. As people pay more attention to the air environment, its importance will gradually become more prominent in the future. For example, during the small influenza period each spring, disinfection robots can be deployed in various places. Spaces such as kindergartens and nursing homes where elderly people and children with weak autoimmunity often stay can make disinfection robots become a normal existence.
This year, BooCax also reached a cooperation with the Winter Olympics Test Tournament to help disinfect the venues of the Winter Olympics Test Tournament. Xie Chuanquan believes that the opportunity to obtain such cooperation is that BooCax's own products are better; BooCax robots are more convenient to operate and suitable for front-line workers. One of BooCax’s cooperative companies, combined with BooCax intelligent disinfection system-BIDS, can also make the disinfection data more intuitive; third is BooCax Headquartered in Beijing, with R&D and production centers in Shenzhen, Shandong, Henan, and Suzhou, with 2 robot production bases, 2 independent R&D centers, and 2 joint technology research institutes, BooCax has established The center, the nationwide marketing and service network system, and the performance of supply chain capabilities and batch delivery capabilities are even better.
In the future, BooCax also plans to lay out the field of home appliances, allowing disinfection robots to enter more homes like humidifiers and air purifiers. As more and more people pay attention to the air environment, the functions of disinfection robots will continue to increase, from disinfecting harmful substances such as formaldehyde to adjusting indoor air to a comfortable level.
In addition, we can also develop some refined functions for the disinfection robot, such as what kind of air can relieve human fatigue and what kind of air can make people sleep. These are the problems to be solved in the field of large air. It is also a problem that BooCax hopes he can solve.
